Would it really bother you to have to carry an ID card?

They are scrapping the idea as an infringement to our civil liberties, and for the cost.
It wouldn't bother me at all, our Medical people have used them for eons, I used one at BT, nearly all places of work use one!
As for the cost, surely it would pay for itself in the long run?
Or are you totally against carrying one and why?

I love the cards and we are pleading for them to be brought back: They are really useful : Why are the Brits so anxious about their privacy and civil rights when they give details away in FB?
wouldn't bother me (or my OH) at all tohave to carry an ID card. They have to have them in other European countries, so what's the big deal here. I have to wear one at my place of work (a hospital) ..... if you have nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear.
Those of us who shop at supermarkets and use credit cards have all their details stored (not to mention our shopping habits) stored somewhere.
