Burning music onto cds

I am using a computer with no cd RW drive just has the normal drive, is there anyway i can get music onto disc so i can transfer into my other comp? p.s how do i see how much memory i have left, it doesn't show when i go to my computer and then c drive.

The sypelest answer would be try using a floppy disk, tho u could buy a seperate cd/dvd rewriter that u just plug in to the computer or if your computers both have usb hubs[not sure if this is the correct word, but basically mean if you can put usb thing in to it] then you could use a USB stick.

 

To see your memory:  go to my computer, for your hard drive left click on it the go to properties.

I think KT84 means to "right-click" on your hard drive icon and choose properties. Left clicking will just open it.

Unfortunately the matter is rather simple. If you do not have a recordable or writable CD drive, then you cannot record or re-write CDs. Both internal (IDE) and external (USB1/2 & FireWire) CD-RW drives (which both record and re-write) are extremely cheap nowadays, as in sub �30, and they're not hard to install for the internal ones. A monkey could use an extrenal one, had they the inclination.

Of course, it really depends on how much music you want to transfer, and how often you'll be doing it. I, too, would suggest a USB memory stick if it's not much but you're doing it often. These have come down in proce signficantly over the last year, and you can get 256MB and 512MB ones for very reasonable prices (though re-writable CDs work out significantly cheaper in the long run).

Thank Mobius1 yea thats what i ment, you would think by now i would know the difference between left and right, thats why usually i just refer to it as "the wrong side of the mouse".
