apart from the thing about it being wrong (which admittedly might be a bit of a deterrent), there's nothing actually in the lyrics to say it isn't sung by Mr Jones

Yes she read the lyrics but went mainly for the music and the repetative quote
"Me and - me and Mrs Mrs Jones. Sometimes the music over rides the lyrics. I reckon if you asked people what the lyrics were about 7/10 wouldn't be able to tell you, but they'll remember the title and the music.
