4 year old boys party
I am having a party for my son, who will be 4.
Can anyone suggest games that will keep 25 boys and girls active and also any tips on doing the party on a budget......
thanks

This year bouncy castle party 45 at leisure centre.
I get my son's party stuff from this website i find them quite reasonable
Good luck!
Best games were always pass the parcel (with a sweet/balloon/whatever in every later); treasure hunt (where every child was given a home-made bag and hunted for sweets and small treasures which then made up their party-bag to take home); musical statues; simon says . . .you know, all the old-fashioned games. They used to love them. Be prepared for lots of noise, but noise never hurt anyone. If they get over-excited, play dead lions.
There's always someone who won't play, so they can help with the music, or watching out for wobblers during musical statues.
You could always open a bottle of wine and get another Mum or Dad to join in with you. Then it's 2 parties for the price of one.
Have fun; children's parties don't last for long - they soon outgrow them, unfortunately!
Well i do Shudokan Aikido, and when i help my Sensei with the little kids. We play a game with something making a line in the middle of the room and you have two teams one at each side, you pick one kid at a time and he/she has to tag as much people on the other side as they can within 10 seconds, but if he/she is still on the other side tryin to tag more people when the time runs out, that kid will be out till the next game, but the kids he/she tagged will still be in the game.
But you always pick one person at a time from a different team, to make it more exciting.

What about a piata? They cost about 13 from here:

or here's how to make one yourself:
Another simple game is bobbing for apples - or similar variations.
You can always start with bobbing for apples (or anything that floats) in water and then progress to a flour stage - a sweet buried in flour or icing sugar. Nicely messy so the kids will enjoy it (best played outside for obvious reasons).
Also, if you are going to make food, you can do little cakes with colouring inside them and award prizes for anyone that finds one!
Keep it silly and keep it fun!
partydirectory4kids.co.uk has a good sale on.
you could do a movie party. get some paper bags and fill them with popcorn for each child and then get a couple of dvds set the room out like a cinema turn the lights off then after the first dvd turn the lights back on and have sandwiches and ice cream then have the second dvd.
face painting party
let the children make their own sandwiches or ice creams always a hit at our parties
