For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I cannot believe that details of Laws' private life and queries about his expenses claims were unknown before his appointment, if not to Cameron, then at least to Clegg. Obviously Clegg pushed for his appointment, which calls into question his own judgement. Given the unrest we have seen already from both sides of the coalition (especially the back benches), I think it highly unlikely to survive much beyond Xmas, and I for one will not be sorry. Rather principled opposition than this meretricious alliance.
