I see there is available a free download of Powerpoint, but you have to download their toolbar.
Can any Abber tell me if this is safe - and genuine? Thanks.
TTG's post wasn't there when I started.
When I said "I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole", I was referring to the free Powerpoint donwload that requires you to install a toolbar.
Thanks rojash - so I'll take your advice and won't take the chance with the free Powerpoint.
Regarding Open Office TTG, this is often referred to on A.B. but I have never looked at it before, but today I have done just that. What would the Powerpoint variance be called. Also, who runs Openofice.org and why is it free?
Hmmm, put like that bibblebub, it does seem simple reasoning. However, it is jolly difficult to get rid of some programmes if they decide to take your computer over.
I (along with many others) have been using OpenOffice for a long time, and if you can't afford the Microsoft Office suite of software then it is an excellent substitute.
Well TTG, rojash & bibblebub ...... just downloaded the complete Open Office productivity suite and just going to try it out now! I absolutely rely and depend on your contributions. Many thanks for all your help.
