So my iron fell on the kitchen floor (as they do).

I sent Olive off to choose a new one.

I now own an iron which looks like the Starship Enterprise !!!

Just how many light, switches, buttons etc does an iron need?

Surely an iron only has 3 functions ...

1. Get hot

2. Stop magazine flapping closed when eating lunch.

3. Door stop.

ummmm my clothes still crease but the trick is not to care
I dont 'get' ironing. Its the only household chore I'm absolutely no good at. I can spend ages ironing something and it still looks creased. I understand about using steam and correct temperature. I just dont understand what it wants from me.
Bednobs....I do try occasionally.

I also shake the clothes out and all that polarva....put them in the dryer to finish...but they still need ironing :-(
