Vodafone signal

Posting this again as it was a bit late last night!
Is anyone else having trouble with their Vodafone signal lately? I live in the West Midlands and it's been rubbish for the past few weeks. You don't think it may have anything to do with the fact they have recently introduced a 'signal boost' package that costs about £50, do you? ( I love a conspiracy theory)

There was a fire in Blackpool months ago which burnt down The Grand Hotel. Unfortunately, the transmitters for ALL the networks were on topof the building. Since that time, (despite the fact that temporary transmitters were erected within a week, or so) Orange and Vodaphone, in particular, have been rubbish. I know lots of people who bought new handsets thinking that their 'phones were on the fritz.........and found exactly the same problems. Orange and Vodafone were particularly unhelpful whenever they have been contacted about this.
I've recently switched to Tesco-pay-as-you-go (O2) and am having no problems, now.
