Do I need to get married in mine and my fiance's home town or can i get married in any town in England?

As you've posted this in AB Suggestions, can we assume that you would like the AbEd to be there?
If so you prob need to get married in the town nearest to the monastery dungeons so he isn't away for too long.
Also need to provide plenty of chocolate cake at the reception - maybe a chocolate wedding cake?

you can get married abroad if you want (subject to local laws) so I don't think there's any requirement that it must be in your home town.

Sorry for the flippancy earlier - I couldn't help myself.
There used to be laws re residency, I an pretty sure these have changed but not sure if they are completely gone.
You would be more likely to get the right answer if you contact either your local vicar or register office.
You def DO have thr right to marry in the parish church whee either of you live.
