As a keen cook, I often get splashes of fat on my tops. (yes yes, I should wear an overall of some kind but I'm male and stupid) now, does anyone know the best way to remove these stains as after a wash they still remain.

I know this sounds silly, but I keep a bottle of cheap supermarket own brand cola just for doing some cleaning tasks around the house, removing grease stains is one of them. I just pour a little onto the stain and then wash straight away in the washing machine and it hasn't failed to get out a stain yet.
I've rubbed some neat washing liquid (not washing up liquid) into the stain in the past, then washed as normal and it's worked a treat. I left the liquid to soak in for half an hour first.
