In the Night...

Wow! it was a humdinger of a night, I was awoken about 3am by the most loud crash - bang, we were having a thunderstorm it was very loud and the rain lashed down. This morning everthing looks clean & fresh out there but its overcast.
Did you sufferthis too. I'm in Essex.

I got woken by the most almighty crash of thunder at about 2am, it actually made the whole house rattle!

Yes, I think that expression should be 'Damp Squib' (less than spectacular display)

Although Squids are damp. -- or several pounds moneywise.

Woken up at 2am by dogs thunder really loud and lightening horrendous . Hated it glad soon passed garden now waterlogged. However sun now trying to shine . Have a good day . All good wishes from North Norfolk
