It is my birthday next Thursday & my BF is flying me down to Plymouth (can you believe it is 2 hours from Manchester) As we both like a G&T or three we are doing the Plymouth gin tour etc does anyone know of some nice pubs to visit.

There's no way it takes two hours to fly to Plymouth from Manchester. Leeds Bfd to Exeter is less than an hour. Unless he's booked you on a microlight!

Avoid Union Street,....stick to the Barbican.....lots of pubs and bistros in the harbourside area.

Oh well that explains it.
My daughter's at Plymouth Uni and she said anywhere on the Barbican has nice places to drink and eat.
That's what I said prudie....I've lived there for 10 years....lol

Yes i was going to make reference to what you'd already said, in fact if you hadn't I probably wouldn't have answered because I asked daughter and what a student thinks is nice might not necessarily be what brucie is wanting lol.
She loves it down there.
