it depends hw much yu owe and whether you can prove the car is an essential for your work/business and might be exempt from being part of yout assets (I think)
My daughter declared bankruptcy a while back and she got to keep her car as she needed it for work. If you had a flash motor they make make you get something a lttle cheaper, but as yours is only worth £1300 I don't think you need worry.
you will need to prove it essential for you to do your work, A friend in this situation was told she couldn't use 'dropping her child off as a reason' and she should walk or take a bus. she had two under 10 going to schools in opposite directions.
They do allow you to keep your car if it's for work etc, I think they would only take it off you if it were an expensive motor - £1300 isn't, not in their eyes.
