Did anyone else take this exam today? If so, what did you think about it ?

inchatterbank taking exams! I think you need the Q & P section.

On second thought tho........
what do you mean non calculator, is that a rule? We didn't have calculators when I was at school anyway, probably wouldn;t have helped me if we had lol

Wel there are two maths papers a calculator and a non calculator paper !

Sorry count seem to get more responses in chatterbank !
Hey dot,

When I took mine, 7 years ago there were 2 papers. One you had to use a calculator on and one where no calculator is allowed.

Calculator or not, I still got D's in both!
Wot, Dot; they wouldn't allow you to use your abacus?:)
No they wouldn't allow me abacus but what is the point of doing an exam with a calculator? That's cheating!!! I think my kids had t have a calculator for school, a scientific one, but I don't think they were allowed to take it into exams
Well I've got a degree in it and pocket calculators were not invented at the time! We had to use a book of tables just like we did at school - anyone remember those for logs, trig etc?
Question Author
Dot thats why we take two exams one with and without a calcultor to show we know how to use a scientific calculator and the other to show our own knowledge of maths !
The calculator is obviously the harder paper because you have the calculator to help aid you :)
I still have my slide-rule with a genoine leather case complete with a belt-loop on it!
oh don't start with logorythams and cosines I;ll have a pink fit!!!
did you do logorythams and cosines today izzue?? I was actually good at them
I don't think anyone has ever done logorythams!
After getting 17% in my maths 'O' level prelims I was glad I was good at English...
lol I've never had t spell it before!!!! We never ever wrote the word just did the working out lol
do you remember those tatty little books they gave us with endless columns of numbers??? they weren't a very good read were they?
I never actually learnt to use a slide rule Stewey, that'll be a dying skill I should think!
