Russell Flint
4 Answers
I am a fan of Russell Flint and have always wanted to buy one of his paintings. I am thinking of buying a Limited Edition Print, that will hopefully increase in price over the years.. Can someone give me some hints and tips? Is it safe to buy these on an auction website, or should I go to a dealer? I can't afford an original !! But would like a signed print if possible - would an unsigned print be worth buying if they are around 75? ?

just below that you will get gt west auctions where a russell flint 1947 signed has a guid price of 20 to 25
There is always a mark up in shops and I always buy at auction - because I am not going to sell on my little treasure and the dealers do/have to...which means that the private buyer has a good deal. But you have to know what you;re buying.
In terms of RF - no-one is going to fake an RF.....
I have looked in eBay, and there are lots of signed RFs which sell for around 300, I can't understand how they are so much cheaper than the RF website I looked on, where they are over 1,000. The unsigned ones on the same website are around 75, it seems a big difference, are they legit? A lot of the RFs on the eBay sites are also being sold by dealers, when you look into them. Would the cheaper ones be worth buying at 300? or even 75? I know I am buying them just because I love them, but of course I don't want to buy a fake.
