Evidently he wrote this book before he left us. Not quite finished it but this was done for him. - Its called 'The Tree of Seasons', and I've heard its an enchanting story of good and evil.

Has anyone read it, and would you reccomend it?

I heard the opening chapter (or part of it) read out..............I really wasn't impressed.
To me it appeared as a very poor pastiche of Tolkein, Rowling, Lewis, Blyton and traditional fairy tales.

I accept that it wasn't written for my age group, but believe that if the author hadn't been as high profile, and died so tragically young, it would have been published without trace...........

Well Jack, Because I was such a great fan (& I'm a grandmother) someone bought me the book. Soo really you're saying my niece who is 10 would enjoy it more than I. ?

I'm not saying that you 'won't' enjoy the book, however, I don't think I could read it without wincing a little. I hope that your niece 'would' enjoy the book; anything that encourages youngsters to read can only be a good thing.

When you have read it, why not come back and give it a 'review'; I am always willing to be enlightened. :o)
