Birthday gift suggestions for me

I never know what I want and my partner and family etc... always ask me. I never know what to say lol so I end up getting money which in turn gets wasted on household things.


What shall I ask for this year?

Last year I got a kitten - best gift ever I might add! (I would like a holiday, but thats a little extravagant)

My mother in law bought a tortoise for her step-grandaughter's 13th birthday. I thought that was really cool! Greedyfly, why don't you ask them to get you vouchers for your favourite shop, or something like that .. that way you can get something you really really want (and choose it yourself) from wherever. M&S, Boots, Amazon, wherever.

I was contemplatiing the straightners. I think I struggle cos we never have a lot of money really so I don't really buy things for myself that often aside from the essentials. So when it comes to just having something for no reason (birthday) I find the whole situation a little weird.

greedy I am just like you, I rarely buy things I dont need, like handbags, shoes etc, so when people ask me what I want I find it silly asking for things I need like saucepans, flowers for garden etc

Same here 4get. I need some new door handles for my house and my yard needs some plants and things - but they refuse to buy me housy things, because they are not just for me. I will have to convince them, if I don't think of something I like.

Gift vouchers for a favourite shop/store?

My family never know what to get me so I ask them for gift vouchers for SportsDirect and I go there and get myself new tracksuit bottoms, sports t-shirts, shorts etc

Ask your friends/family to buy you vouchers from a popular high street travel agents, my friend did this for her 40th and went to Thailand later in year. You get exactly what you want and at no extravagant cost to any one person

Is a good idea hard-drive, I wonder how long they last for? I cannot fly for a few months and I have never actually left the country before - another luxury I do not take part in.

Wish I did though, I am desperate to see the world.
