This is really starting to bother me and I will go to the GP next week when I;m off, but I keep getting a dull ache/pain in the skull area behind my ears. I was trying to explain it to a mate at work today and I could just describe it as like a square headache, the pain comes and goes most of the day, and i have it now, sometimes it seems to be a sharp pain on top of the usual pain, and my brain keeps telling me this square thing, don;t knwo why, seems odd. It's been happening for a few weeks now but it is getting worse. Does it sound like anything?

Oh do you think? I've had 5 coffees today and a cup of diet coke from burger king cos my son rang as i left work and asked me to get a takeway, actually he's not paid me for his yet grrrr i had a chicken royale.
No where near enough I would say (in my totally non-clinical opinion). Drink however much coffee and d.coke you like but I don't think they hydrate you much... Try adding one of those litre bottles of volvic (or some other brand. Or a tap) of water to your day as well as coffee and diet coke and I think it'll help. And watch your salt intake.

Does sound like me when I get a headache through not drinking enough though.
Oh... And you're drinking way too much caffine... I had to stop that too... The good things in life are always taken away!

Have you not got a prettier pic of a cat than that one? He spooks me out. Anyone agree?
Sorry! It's in honour of another AB member and I've just not bothered changing it! Perhaps I'll start a thread tomorrow for suitable alternatives...
Sounds very much like tension headaches.
Have you tried Ibuprofen or similar to relieve the pains?
Mrs. Wak gets a dull achey pain about 1 inch behind her left ear starting at the base of the skull and running down her neck towards the shoulder. The Doc says it's neuralgia and paracetamol seems to ease it most of the time.
I suppose I'm her other pain in the neck.?
i get that - when i wear certain sunglasses...ot goggles

the pressure and shape of the arms causesterrible headaches...i have to bend them outwards with heat before i can wear them...
however the pain disappears the instant i remove them

but just a thought...
could be migraines. they can do allsorts to you. my mum has them occasionally and she gets visual disturbance where she sees a crescent moon with jagged edges and flashing lights. you really need to drink more water too. caffeine can make headaches worse aswell.
