Whats with 'Your mum'

I just get the feeling that I am missing something.My kids have started saying 'yer mum' when asked a question.It seems to be when they are answering between themselves(twins God love 'em)But get the feeling there is more to it.
Am I getting insulted and they think they are being smart?
Any tips?
And yes I have tried asking them,all I get is'nothing'!!(standard teen answer apart from dunno)
