Welcome to the Title Builder Beta.

Click on the little question mark next to "Title Builder Beta" for more details.

It will hopefully allow you to build "better" titles for you quizzes. By "better" we mean they should be easier to find for searchers, which hopefully means we get some more brains round the table!

Ok sorry, I was called away on the phone & it's late & I'm in a bad mood. Tough.

...As in "Quizes & Puzzles Rules" - could also use a space between "..zes" & "&".

I presume "youR quizzes" was meant above? If you use "better" in the first instance, please don't use "Better" in the second. Surely a quick glimpse before posting to check spelling isn't too much to ask for from the Ed &/or Spare Ed?

Instead of faffing around with pointless section headings, why not address the problem of the useless font & re-introduce the facility to underline, embolden & italicise posts?

There, I'm done. Sorry, but it's been a trying day!

...Oh, & while I'm having a nag & before I hit my pit, what's the point of that puke-green bar that says "Answer was added", when one's answer shows instantly in "Latest Posts"?

You are all exactly right. I will try and clear up the various problems with my own text shortly! I personally find it very hard to self-edit I'm afraid, although there is no excuse.

Hi Lie-in-King ~ I think I have found the reason for the green bar. Some times when I have submitted an answer nothing seems to happen so several minutes later I have submitted again, The green bar tells you that, even if you can't see any evidence of it, your answer has been accepted and will show up sooner or later. Well, that's what it has done for me ~ don't know about anyone else. :0)

Hi dustybun- i think that the only reason nothing seems to have happened is that you are seeing a cached copy of AB- if you press control/F5 or clear your cache in some other way you should see the change straight away

An observation from the end of Saturday - the title builder make different questions look the same in the latest posts. People using their own titles does at least provide some distinction between them.

Yes , I thought teh title builder was worth trying, but we seem to have had more blank questions today than ever before. The SUBMIT button needs to be moved to after the question details box and/or there needs to be system which forces posters to put something in the Question Details box.

Good idea factor. If I am entering something on other sites it won't let me progress if one of the boxes is empty - let's do something like this here, there must be something in the details box - please Ed!
