Hey, Joe ... who are you calling a "southern snob" ???

=0/
I rarely have leftovers, as I only really cook small meals. Anything that's left is always gratefully received by the 4-legged one.
JJ's only a bit along the coast from me, people who live in Brighton have very eclectic tastes, I used to live there myself.
How is the 4-legged one NoM, has he bucked up yet?
"eclectic" ?

Nous ?
He's fine thanks, Boxy. I think he was just a tad homesick. Also, if the weather's bad and he can't get out for a good walk, he does tend to get very sulky and depressed.
What's eclectic?
eclectic could be ...

... cosmopolitan, or

... trying too hard to be different, or

... a bit pretentious, or

... outsiders think you are weird

That sort of thing. I'll run with cosmopolitan.
So ... we are eclectic ... except for food made from leftovers.

=0)
Varied in plain English then
Yup, but posher
Not many parts of Brighton could be called "posh" !

"Cheesey" "tacky" and "rough" are more usual adjectives.
And much more attractive ...
(those are the adjectives used by the residents of Hove, Actually, to describe Brighton)
but not eclectic enough to have faggots with bubble and squeak though
No, joe ... not THAT eclectic !
