Wine Pulp

I was asked this question today by one of the nieces kids and I must admit its something I've never thought about. I've got some rice wine almost ready for taking off the pulp and putting into the demi-johns and Jack asked if I was going to give the pulp, which consists of about 9lbs of mixed rice and raisins, to the birds because he was worried that if they ate it they'd get drunk and fall out of the trees. Normally I'd just bin it but Jacks question has set me off thinking just what would happen if iI put it out for the birds?

Would be good to see some tiny little bird getting pi55ed and taking on a big bird in a little bit of a drunken punch up.

thanks for the imput guys, while the idea of our feathered friends getting pissed sound quite funny it might also make them too attractive to the local cats, so it looks like the dustbin is favorite
