my next door neighbour burns tree logs in a kettle drum each night in the garden he starts at about 9pm and continues untill about 1am, so I need to close all windows and doors due to smells and sparks. My question is can I do any thing to stop this I have asked him politly with no response and during the very hot evenings I am unable to enjoy the nice evening breezes. cheers whm

Check with the environmental department of your local council to see if you and your neighbour live in a smokeless zone - if so, file a complaint.
