Knoxy back in the News
137 Answers
So a mafia supergrass, now in jail, has confessed to having disposed of the murder weapon.
(you remember I told you that the Police had the WRONG knife ... well, it was true ...
... the Police never found the actual murder weapon)
Luciano Aviello says that he disposed of the murder weapon on behalf of a member of his mafia family ...
... who killed Meredith.
And Amanda was completely uninvolved.
2 questions here ...
(1) Luciano Aviello wrote to the Court and the Prosecution 3 times during the Trial, but the Prosecution ignored his evidence !!!!!!!!!! ... were they just too embarrassed that they had already spent millions of Euros prosecuting an innosent girl ?
(2) Why was nobody told that sweet, innocent Meredith, darling of the popular Press, had got herself mixed up with organised crime ?

Once more from the top ... Lamumba ...
Knoxy gave a statement which made no mention of Lamumba.
The Police had some sort of thing against Lamumba, and wanted him arrested (a common theme with this Prosecutor).
The Police asked Knoxy to explain how it coulod have happened, if she had not done it. This is not her job, by the way !!!
So it went something like this ...
P. So if it wasn't you, who was it?
AK. I don't know.
P. Do you know Mr Lamumba?
AK. Yes.
P. Where was he on the night of the murder?
AK. I've got no idea.
P. So he could have been at Meredith's flat?
AK. I suppose so.
P. He wasn't anywhere else, as far as you know.
AK. Well, I don't know.
P. So you see now, that he could have been at Meredith's flat.
AK. Well, I suppose so.
P. And he had a thing for Meredith, didn't he?
AK. Well, he may have done.
P. So you are saying that Mr Lamumba was the murderer!
AK. Well, it wasn't me!
P. So it was Mr Lamumba.
AK. Can I have a lawyer?
P. No.
AK. I'm confused. Can I have a rest?
P. Not until we have have typed up your statement, in which you are now saying that Mr Lamumba had a fixation with Meredith, and that you believe he went to Meredith's falt on the night of the murder.
AK. But ...
P. We have no more questions.

Yes, I was there during the interview.
ha ha, not really.
But ...
Amanda was arrested, she was asked to give a statement, and she did ... the truth.
It was only later, after many many hours in the "safe" hands of the interrogating Police, that she was persuaded to change her statement ... and implicate Lamumba.
Why?
Duuuh, guys ... !!
Then, Amanda gives a third statement, saying that Lamumba was not involved ... like she had said from the outset.

Or perhaps she only thought to implicate Lumumba when she could see the evidence was stacking against her, and retracted that statement when it was proved that Lumumba was St. Elsewhere at the time of the murder... (blaming her change of statement and subsequent recantation on police brutality)
