Deleting www addresses

I had a bit of a mad one this weekend whilst my girfriend was at her sisters, to cut a long story short me and a couple of mates thought it would be fun to go on line and check out some adult sites. the problem I have now is two fold, firstly there is an icon on my desktop which is quite clearly a dodgy link and also the www.domain names show when in type in first letters of an address. It wont be the end of the world to come clean about this but to save a bit of aggrevation, is there anyway I can delete the icons and typed in e-mail addresses??. P.S my girlfriend hates Paris Hilton and she was quite a popular seach Saturday night. cheers

To delete the icon, right click on it, hold down the shift key and select delete. This will delete it without putting it in the recycle bin.

Also, if you get time before she gets back you might want to run a spyware check (Adaware is free if you don't already have it.  Click here for more info).

If it were me I would also double-check & search for any temporary files that might still be sitting on the PC (icons, jpgs etc from the sites you stumbled across).  Just run a search for files called *.tmp & get rid of anything you don't want.  Don't forget to shift_delete

Dont forget, if there is an icon on ur desktop, it probably installed a program on to ur system.

Get rid of that by unistalling the dodgy program from the Control Panel - Add/Remove Program util.
