The word for "gate" is either "geata" in the sense of port as in Traitor's Gate or in the computing sense e.g. an OR gate and is fairly obviously a transliteration of the English, or "cachaileith" which has the sense of a gate in a field. In this instance, it is fairly obviously the "portal" sense that we need, so that would be "geata".

The word for "star" in the sense of astral body is "reult" as in "Reult an Iuchair" which is how the Gaels refer to the "Dog Star", literally the "Key Star".

So, "StarGate" in Scots Gaelic would be literally "the gate of the stars" i.e. "Geata na reultan", pronounced "GAY-ta na RAY-ul-tun".
