Not much more that you can do other than monitor the situation and try and get her to take fluids.
aww poor thing. Theres not a lot that you can do about her lack of appetitie but try a little and often and see if you can more milk into her that way.

fill a cloth with porridge oats and hang it from tap as you run her bath. That can help with the itch. Also bicarb of soda in the bath can help.

Calamine cream rather than lotion as it stays in place.

and keep her out of the sun as this can cause scarring apprently.

I hope she feels better soon, youve a tough few days ahead of you

she is too young for antihistamines i think, check with pharmacist though.

aw redcrx fount of all knowledge from when i used to come on! she has emoliant in her bath for eczema, and on piriton for allergic reactions so might give her some later!x
ah good, if you know she can have piriton then that can be used to ease the itching.

other than that, cuddles and love will just help her feel a bit better. Chicken pox is horrible, poor thing
if any of the spots start to look relly red and angry then go back to GP straight away.
Piriton in a 4month old baby?
Question Author
its hard to tell whats new pox spots and what eczema to be honest! she doesnt want many cuddles so shes under her gym at the mo, shes just had 4 ozs and might see if she wants any more.
piriton liquid bottles say not for under 12 months, but I am assuming that this has been prescribed by a GP for other allergies already.
