I was horrified at the number of people who want the person responsible for showing the ad in the world cup last Saturday, baying for their blood, and also asking for people to not buy Hyundi's as a result. What is the matter with everyone!!

well its not hyundis fault...... but it is ITV's!! Bring back hanging!! lol. But I can understand people being angry, all this hype about getting HD before world cup starts and then the first game and first goal is missed. I saw it as was up the pub but my bloke wasnt too happy.

Welcome to the world of commercial TV. They pay a fortune for the rights to broadcast the event and they then have to cut to an ad break every ten minutes during the event to make bck enough revenue to make back what they paid for it.

How many times did ITV cut to a break during the F1 only to return and find that the entire race order had changed or half the field had crashed out during the break.

Commercial breaks and live events just do not go together.
