presumably on the phone, how do either side know they are actually talking to each other? I mean It could be Rory Bremner! Do they have some sort of agreed code?

It was similar to the trick I played on Tony Blair in 1998 when I worked at London's Capital Radio.Blair was leaving his morning briefing when I called the Downing Street switchboard at 8.35am. Jon Culshaw, the impressionist, pretended to be the then Conservative leader, and offered the prime minister a Cher exercise video"
