peugeot 206 hdi glow plug light??

i have just purchased a 206 2l hdi the glow plug light never comes on when i turn on the ignition, the car starts ok no problems, but when i had a diesel before the glow plug light came on even in the summer.. i'm wondering if i should take it back to the garage as i've only got 3 months warranty and don't want to get caught out in the colder months

You probably had an older diesel. My Rover 218 TD had a glow plug light, which you had to wait for to go out before starting the engine. I have 2 newer diesel cars and neither of them has this.

They only come on in really cold weather.

You won't have any problems.

The di in the name stands for Direct Injection. Glow plugs hardly ever are needed, so you will be unlikely to see the light.

thanks for all reply's my old diesel was on a L reg.. i'm not gonna go down garage and make myself look a blonde now :O)
