what is spike lavender oil specfically beneficial for (sleeping?) and is it most effective when diluted?

Not sure about 'spike', but if I'm having trouble sleeping, I put a few drops of Lavender oil on my pillow & it certainly helps me to drop off. It's so relaxing.

BTW, I don't dilute it. Just a few drops on each corner of the pillow.

the spike lavender oil is different to the lavender oil that is used for sleeping...the spike lavender oil is more of an antiseptic and less on the fragrance..its normally half the price ..of the other lavender..the spike lavender could also be used as a vapour to help you breathe easy..as its that sort of smell..
