*' Extravagant' celebrations, such as covering one's head with one's jersey or removing it over the head
* Entering or re-entering the field of play without the referee's permission
* Deliberately leaving the field of play without the referee's permission.
......are all yellow card offences which IMO have no place in the game of football. They are pathetic, petty, 'schoolboy' rules
They do not affect the result of the game, so how can they carry the same 'punishment' as a bad foul, a cynical foul or a foul which prevents a goal scoring opportunity
A player committing 2 of the minor offences ultimately receives the same punishment as one who breaks an opponents leg or punches/headbutts an opponent - they receive a red card and are both sent from the field of play
It's not right
What next? A yellow card for having a dodgy hairstyle or wearing your shirt outside your shorts?
