Hi,

Myself and a couple of friends are really interested in anything to do with the Tudors. We have been to Hampton Court, Tower of London, Hever Castle, Windsor Castle and even the London Museum because it has a few bits about them, but we don't know where to go next. Does anyone know of any major historical places we seem to be missing?

Thanks

You get three for the price of one in Westminster Abbey .Liz the first lays right next to her sister Bloody Mary and her cousin Mary Queen of Scots is just up the next aisle :)
Anne Boleyn is in St Peter ad Vincula in the chapel .One day in May ( I forget which ) someone puts fresh flowers on her grave .And of course Hatfield is a must ,where Elizabeth spent her...

No, that link is brilliant. I'll have to print that off for my Grandad.

This is of no relevance.....but my Grandad's real name is 'Chestnut' Chestnut hugh Graham....16lb 10.5 at birth.....ouch.
National Portrait Gallery rather than the National Gallery maybe (it's next door).

Hever Castle where Anne Boleyn grew up

Here's a list of buildings from the period, though not necessarily connected to the Tudor family

Here's some sites connected with Elizabeth

excuse me, ummmm, that's not a typo for Chestnut Huge Graham by any chance?
His real name is Chestnut Hugh Graham.......I think his mother hated him...lol. He changed his name to Hughie not long before I was born. You don't know him do you? lol
I meant Huge as in nearly 17lb...
Yeah....he was nearly 17lb at birth. Still has the certificate. He was the SECOND biggest baby born in Ireland. It still hasn't been beaten. I think, the other baby was 17lb 1 oz.
the other one must have been Finn McCool...

Lol....just realised what you're getting at. He was the same weight at birth as my 8 month old daughter....

I find the fact that she called him Chestnut more shocking. The others had normal names.....
We take these things for granted. I must also get his cert and scan it.....we haven't got many claims to fame....lol
Shrewsbury, where I'm from, has a strong tudor past so might be worth a visit...
