I am useless at this particular parking problem even after many years of driving I still can't get it right.I am a typicall Reginald Molehusband.Can anyone give me some constructive tips? No daft jokes please!

lol, I was accused of something similar when I parked in the office car park!

Hi, adjust your N/Side mirror at an angle that it shows "just above the road surface" if you can judge the width of your car, parallel park along side another car then TAKE YOUR TIME reversing, a lot of people tend to rush the parking maneuver thus loosing the control.

Thank you all for your help.I was never taught this manoeuvre all those years ago so have never had to use it.However my street is now filled with neighbours with at least two cars per family so parking is tight to say the least; hence my cry for help. No doubt with all your helpfull tips I will win out in the end, as TWR says, take it slowly....Once again thank you all for your replies...S.O.G

I was never taught this either, but since moving to a house in a town, which always very busy, with no off road parking, I have learnt to shoehorn my car into a sapce just about big enough! It's just practice really!.............
