I have severe pain, swelling and collapse of the knees when I walk at distance. I was in receipt of mobility allowance, department of works has stopped my payment because they said I can walk 400yards. I intend to appeal again their decision. how do i go about appealing?

Make sure you get your GP/physio or whoever to write a statement in support of this especially regarding any pain and risk of injury due to the joint giving way, How do they know you can walk 400 yards has someone seen you and shopped you?
