World Cup Referees

Something that crossed my mind while watching the football, is the amount of different nations, both players and officials. How do the referees communicate with the players, Last night I was watch France v Mexico with a referee from Saudi Arabia I believe.

The referee was talking to both sides and they all seemed to understand each other. What language would he have been using?

It would be interesting to know the answer for the ref in the current Germany v Serbia game, because at this rate there are going to be several players getting a red card (2 yellows) before the end of the game.

Yup, 4 bookings in the space of 10 minutes is pretty shocking

A red card doesn't necessarily comprise of 2 x yellows! It is possible to receive a "straight red".

Klose is sent off for two yellows now.

With this game the ref is giving out yellows for nothing - AND LOOK there gets Klose getting a red because of his 2nd yellow.

That decision was a joke!!!! Klose should not have been sent off!!! It was just a plain tackle he was going for the ball!
The refs need to be spoken to!
