hi,has any one ever employed a mother's help? When i give birth i'm going to need extra help, but i don't want a nanny because i want to do most of the looking after. However, i realise that walking wiht 2 crutches isn't very condusive to actually picking up a baby and moving it artound the house.
Anyway, if you have, how did you go about finding someone?

Have you looked into dhoulas? Might not be any use but there might be something on one of the web sites that suits you better.
Bednobs. Have you explored the possibility of some free help. It might well be worth contacting social services to find out what is available, or asking at your next medical appointment.

How's the pregnancy going?
bednobs, best advice I can give is to contact your local Social Services, they may be able to help with finding and funding help too!............If they can't help with the funding, they will certainly be able to help with finding the help that you need............best wishes ...................
It also depends on how much you can afford. Dhoulas are not cheap.
