Equivocal Pregnancy result
Hi
I handed a pregnancy test into my GP after doing 3 home tests all positive!
The result came back as "equivocal" and I had to hand another sample in 48 hrs later. I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else and what it meant for you?
Thanks

Having said that, when I phoned my GP to say I'd done one positive test, they said they didn't need to do their own as the home tests are so reliable these days, so i'm not sure why your GP would have asked you to do another one in the first place. Sorry - not much help to you at all here really, but i'd try not to worry about it - 3 home tests can't be wrong surely! xx
Same applied to me, I rang the doctors to make appointment, and they never made me do another test, I have done 3 home ones and they said they were very reliable these days. I couldnt believe it because I wanted them to confirm it to me, I am now 22 weeks pregnant and have a little bump coming, so I am now convinced :-)
Hope all goes well and you get the news you want :-)

Thanks for your answers, Thursdays test came back positive and I'm now 6 weeks pregnant with baby no. 2!. The first test was equivocal due to the fact I hadn't used the first urine of the morning, although I think the labs should be using Clear Blue cause it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day I used them! Guess my doctor must be old fashioned going down the traditional route although by the time thursday came round I had at least 6 good positive home tests which I planned to shove under his nose if the second one came back undecided lol.
