he's in daily pain and on so many tablets for the pain but hopefully the doctors will soon get this sorted and he'll be of the depression tablets and pain killers but until the doctors get it sorted he's just having to cope best he can
he still manages to hold down his job and it isn't a problem for him to work

yeah, thats what we're worrying about
my cousin was killed whilst building their house and the insurance folk never paid up as they looked into every little detail then becuase he didn't own the tool that killed him they never paid. leaving his pregnant wife with a huge mortgage
my OH's work pay out a big lump sum if anything happens to him so we were just thinking about insuring me since i would be classed as 'normal' i hope!! would that be a bad idea not insuring us both

Your OH will have to make sure he declares the depression and the insurance company will probably want to take a report from his GP - that's what happening to me at the moment, and I am taking out a policy to cover my mortgage. Some 40 years ago I had a period of clinical depression and unfortunately I've been rated up on it ever since for life cover, 25% above the normal quoted premium last time. I am hoping that this time the GP's report will show I have had no recurrence for many many years and they will treat it as closed, but I am not hopeful.
