The above car, once the coolant is at the correct temperature suffers from the symptoms of a sticky throttle i.e. the revs stay on when you release the throttle to make a gear change. I've checked the basics, the pedal, cable etc are all free to move and appear to return correctly. The car has the multipoint injection version of the kent engine fitted. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

That's usually an inlet air leak (or pipe broken/off) or the MAF sensor.
You also need to check TPS sensor on throttle body for correct readings.
