Percentages

I don't know if this is posible or if it'll make sense but . . . .if you are given a percentage such as 50% for a test score for example, can you work out the minimum thing that the test was out of, without knowing how many marks you got, just the percentage, if all numbers a integers that is. If it was 50% then the minimum it could be out of was two but that's easy to work out.

I used figures of 99 out of 200. Both numbers are integers.

I was asking how you know the percentage is not rounded. If you are just talking hypothetically and want to assume that the percentage figure has an integer value then that would rule out test scores such as 60/70 or 13/20 etc.

hhhmmm, ok then I was trying to keep it simple.

If it was rounded then, would you only be able to have a range of possible answers?

If it was a decimal number percentage, would you do it any differently?

i would think that you got half of the questions right :)
