The only way to cut back on it is to use cameras to help make critical decisions like they do in rugby, cricket, tennis etc
if they start to micro manage football to this level, they will take away the rawness of the gameplay, we already have players that slip over a gust of wind..
I agree with Joeluke. We need to change the rules and look at camera footage if the referees have missed something and then a decision should be made on a course of action.
