Hey guys,

Now I am not normally one for complaining, in fact I am normally one who says not to, but this time I am thinking maybe I should!

Yesterday as I was leaving work, I pulled up to a roundabout to get on to the one way system near where I work, and a Tesco home delivery van was coming round the roundabout. As he did, the side opened and about 15 crates came out the side of the van and skidded across the road into my car. Luckily they were empty as it could have been alot worse!

The driver stopped, and came back to pick them up, didnt ask if I was Ok or say sorry, even though I was sat in my car pretty shocked. As he was moving them out the way, I leant out and asked if there was any damage to my car (should have checked myself but I was feeling pretty shakey!) to which I got the reply 'Its only some f*****g empty plastic crates and a pack of Fosters!'

I drove off as I was holding up a load of traffic, but then pulled over just down the road as I was shaking like a leaf and pretty upset.

It was just his attitude and the reply I got from him when I asked if there was any damage to my car that really annoyed me!

Well done wiggal. see what outcome you get before you write, if it's to your satisfaction, job done, if not write the letter.. Let us know how you get on. I dread to think what would have happened if those crates had been full!

It was also the fact he said it was just a pack of Fosters! Does he not think a pck of beer could of done some damage to my car if it had of been traveling at any kind of speed!?
did you tell him about the foul language as well wiggal?
Question Author
I did, I told him what he had said to me, and it was at that point he said it was totally unacceptable and needed to be dealt with.

Actually feeling alot better now I have done that! It is completely unlie me to complain, anything for the easy life. But even I think at times some things should be picked up on!
When it is that serious Wiggal you have to complain - it could have been a lot worse. That man get's paid to do his job and do it right not try to intimidate women by shouting abuse at them for a mistake he made!
Glad you feel better wiggal xx
Hi wiggal - I think I have lost the plot - not sure if today is your last day at work or yesterday? Best wishes anyway x

Hey ttfn,

Today is my last day, but was feeling pretty rubbish about it yesterday as started clearing out my stuff :-( Then had to head to where I used to live and see my ex to pick up some more of my stuff he had sorted out for me, and this happened on the way!

So all in all, it was a very teary day for me!

Hi Wiggal, hope you are ok xx
Not a great day for you at all, hope today and your weekend is much better xx :)
what a stupid thing to say!

a pack of fosters could have smashed your windscreen! the crates could have caused you to swerve and crash or hit someone!

report him asap...make sure you mention the crate of fosters too...why would the rest of the van be empty except for that? he may have nicked it.
