Problem with Beko Washing Machine
10 Answers
I'm not sure if I am posting in the right place, but need some advice. My washing machine (just days out of its guarantee) was working fine on Sunday. Today when I switched it on, the ready light comes on, but nothing happens, but the delay timer for 3 6 and 9 hours just keeps flashing between the lights, is there anything I can do. I have tried holding the buttons down, but it just keeps flashing and the machine won't work.

Have you tried all the usual methods - turning it off and unplugging it - it might then reset something which may have stuck in the .timer programmes. if that doesn't work, you may have to get a little man in - sorry.
If you have had it less than two years, it is still guaranteed under EU law, even if they claim it only has a one year guarantee.

Does your washing machine have a filter?
If it does then it will probably be low down on the front.
Place a tray to catch any water and twist the filter cap anti-clockwise.
( If the machine has a lot of water in it then be careful not to remove the filter completely or you will flood your kitchen ).
When the water stops emptying remove the filter completely and check if there is anything in it that should not be there.EG. A sock, a button or one of those colour -catching sheets.
Clean out the filter and replace in the machine. It should then operate normally.
The flashing lights usually indicate that one of the motors, either for the drum or the filter pump is unable to turn. This fault will cause the machine to cease functioning.
It is a form of failsafe.
BTW. If after all this advice your machine doesn't have a filter the i'm afraid it means a visit from the engineer and a swift intake of breath.
