Is This 'Cheating' Really?

Two of my best friends got married five years ago. Before that, Julie and I had been lovers, and Matt, my buddy at the time, was well aware of it also (we used to tell each other the details of our sex lives).

Fast forward to the present. We are all still friends, and everything is cool. Then Matt starts making references to how Julie and he decided to do some sexual experimentation a year ago while on vacation. They started with nude beaches, then getting his and her erotic massages at some spa. Then they took the plunge and had a female escort spend the night with them. They both loved it and felt their marriage was stronger for it.

Matt even confided that he got a male stud/gigolo as a surprise for Julie, and that Julie talked him into sex with the guy.

Now they want me to party with them. Being a guy, my dick says yes. But I do have morals, so my question is: Would it be 'cheating' or 'adultery' if I did it, especially since I'm not married, and there is no deception involved?

Lighten up, everyone. All I'm saying is that I'm very turned on by the thought of doing it, but I also see a downside.
Aslong as they both want you there, it should be ok. Who do you think's cheating on who, you're single, it might change your friendship though.
Many 'fantasies' fail to live up to expectations.............

Yes.
We got that from your post up there ^.

So why are you asking us about it, then ?

I would leave this one alone.

They aren't cheating in their marriage because they both agree with bringing others into their bedroom. However, since you have a sexual and romantic past with Julie and you are currently good friends of both, having sex with them as a third party will complicate the friendship you share with the two of them. The escort and the male gigolo are strangers.

Tuck your dick away for this one. Not worth the risk and possible drama if things don't go well. What happens to your friendship if everything goes sour?
I'm having trouble visualising exactly how Matt fits into this scenario?
On top of Julie and in front of Ted perhaps

Julie and Matt and Ted too
Sorry but LMAO@ joeluke!
Ted, the fact you have to ask on here means you are not comfortable with it - or (bad thought for a lovely Saturday morning) you are getting off on thinking about it. I think you should tell them no. By the way, have you talked to Julie about all this? - I just get a feeling that all the "how great all this is" is only coming from Matt's side, do you really believe him? I know a pal who went along with fetishy stuff because her bloke got turned on by it, but she was so unhappy about it all and it really wrecked their marriage in the end. How can someone's marriage be made "stronger" by having a strange female tart in your bed when you are in it as well? Be excited by the prospect by all means, but don't join in - you could ruin a long friendship.
