fibroid tumor and blood thinner
3 Answers
My daughter is walking around with a large fibroid tumor. She can't have it removed because she is on blood thinner and related problem with blood clots. Is there any long term problem she will have if she has to wait a long while like a year or so? She will be on thinner for at least another 6 months.

My question is the same, is her tumour diagnosed as benign? - I hope so. I had very large fibroids and they did cause me considerable problems with my periods but that was "all" - I went to the GP because of the bleeding problems, that's when they sent me for a scan and found the fibroids. She will be guided by her gynaecologist and haematologist I am sure - if the fibroid is benign then in my experience, it will be inconvenient but didn't give any other problems. It may depend where in the womb it is situated. You might want to ask this question a bit later on in the day, add to this thread in a few hours time, sqad is probably the best person on AB to ask.
