Can my neighbour erect a fence if I have right of way over his drive?

I would expect a right of way (easement) to be registered with the land registry unless it has arisen informally. I suggest you contact a law centre. If he takes steps to prevent you exercising your right and you do nothing, you may lose the right. On the other hand, it is not a good idea to have a fallout with your neighbour (in case you wish to sell up later). So I suggest a law centre might be well placed to advise you. Find out where one is from a CAB.
