The media keeping "banging on" about how dreadful that 300+ of our lads have been killed in the past 8years of conflict and indeed it is a tragedy if one military personnel is killed...........just remember that Bomber Command alone lost 59,000 airmen in just half that time which surely puts Afghanistan in some sort of perspective.

Apparently there is a special version of the Union Flag with 'armed forces day' written on it and it is being flown from every town hall and various other buildings today from 10.30, I'll have to look at our local town hall , I assume it is up there. I've got England Flags on my car and on the outside of the house and so I will decide for myself that they are there today to support the troops aswell as the lads in SA. It's a persoanl choice I have made personally.
