Tv Prog of the 80s Childrens

Can anyone help with this limited information, it was a childrens tv programme and it was based in a garden with I think a couple of creatures that lived there, sort of half human half animal and I think they were brown in colour? I know not much to go on but you never know if you dont ask TIA

I think there was a woman called Marjorie in the Riddlers, she used to pop up in every episode and she always seemed to be carrying a parasol.

4getmenot, I think I have it, tell me what you think.......It was Barbara Good in The Good Life. I think she said it when their litter of pigs were being born with Gerry & Margot standing in their pyjamas watching. One of the piglets was a "runt".
I've got the DVDs so I'll check later as they're in my daughter's room and she's asleep at the moment.

Oh rats!! I just checked the DVD of The Good Life and I was wrong. Barbara actually says, " that's not right", and then something completely different. Sorry. Back to the drawing board.
