Desktop Icons
Does anybody know if there is an online site that will allow me to upload a small picture and turn
it into a desktop icon, if there is where do I save it to once it has been made? I am running Windows XP.

"where do I save it to once it has been made?"
That's entirely up to you. What do you want to use it for?

Thanks for a swift answer rojash as i said there are a few websites that I would like to put on my desktop for which I would like to make my own icon, I know that if you select
an existing icon and right click on it then click on properties it gives you an option ''change icon'' but I want my own design which is why I want to know where to save it to

Actually, you didn't say that at all :-)
Download the icon to wherever you want (For example, create a new folder on the c drive, and call it My Icons).
After you have created a shortcut to a web site, right-click, choose properties, click "Change Icon", click the Browse button, browse to the folder where you downloaded the icon file, and select the icon.

The freeware Greenfish Icon Editor is an easy to use program. You can make an icon from just about any image you have.
